Our Annual General Meeting will be held at Ecology
Park on Friday, June 6th, 2008. It will start with a
potluck supper at 6:00 p.m. Ecology Park is located
on Ashburnham one parking entrance south of
Beavermede Park entrance.

public a sample of the of goods and services that

L.E.T.S. Café
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to run a
small food business? With the L.E.T.S., you can do it.
We have our L.E.T.S. Café at every market. If you take
on the task of being the L.E.T.S. Café vendor (cost is
the same as renting a table), you can decide the menu
and the prices. You buy and sell the food (at least 20%
green). Don't buy any food you don't want to take
home and eat yourself. Although we provide free coffee
(and sometimes free take-home ice cream), you are
welcome to sell juice, pop, or anything you think will
sell. Of course, at the end of the market, you would be
required to make sure the kitchen is clean. In essence,
this Café would be your small business.

upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Setting up and taking down tables at the market
Photography and video taping at the market with a digital camera.
Kawartha Christian Business Network
(Formerly Kawartha Entrepreneurs Meetup Group)
I am in the process of changing KEM into a Christian
group called Kawartha Christian Business Network.
As you all know, I say a prayer before each meal at our
meetings, as I am a Christian.
This practice has become an issue on several occasions
and we have lost members and I have received several
emails advising me to stop. This is what has led to my
decision to make this a Christian Networking Business group.
Let me assure you that you do NOT HAVE TO BE
CHRISTIAN TO JOIN THIS GROUP OR REMAIN
PART OF THIS GROUP. The new website is at
www.kcbn.ca and those who are official members of
KEM for the next year have been added to the membership
database. Less than 10 people currently know about
this new site so if you wish to have your name removed
from the membership database, just login and remove
yourself or change your login information.
I hope that you can all appreciate where I am coming
from with this and if any of you have any concerns,
please feel free to contact me.

friendships and relationships I and others have begun
in this group.
While I am trying my very best to provide us all
with a great networking venue and good teachings,
I do make mistakes and I do apologize if anyone feels

Computers at Library
The library computers can only be used
to read the message board. While we can
log onto message board, we cannot post,
delete or edit. As a result, people who can
only access the internet via Library computers
are welcome to E-Mail, send, or give me your

Help needed to do a major clean up job
in a Havelock home. We can arrange times
to drive out there. Would be some Saturdays
and Sundays, and possibly a weekday. I am
willing to pay $20 GREEN per hour. It is a messy
job with some heavy lifting - cleaning, bagging
